Collin Tilton

Tenor and alto saxophones, flute.

Best known for his sax and flute playing on Van Morrison's quadruple platinum selling classic album, Moondance, Collin also played in Etta James' band, opening for the Rolling Stones on their Some Girls tour in 1978. Most recently he served as horn arranger with the late Clarence Clemons & the Red Bank Rockers and has worked with a number of regional bands, notably the Shaboo All Stars. He joined ETTB in 1989 and has recorded and produced the band's last eight CDs at his own Barnone Studio in Northford, CT. Most recently, his flute solo on Van Morrison's epic "Mondance" was selected to be in a book called "25 Great Flute Solos", just released on Hal Leonard Publishing, along with other heavyweights such as Jethro Tull.

Cynthia Lyon

Band leader, vocals, keyboard

The band's founder and leader, Cynthia started Eight to the Bar in 1975 and is its primary songwriter and arranger. She has also played with Amyl and the Icons and the Dirty Blondes of New York City.

Shawn Meehan

Drums, percussion

A graduate of Berklee School of Music, Shawn currently resides and teaches drums in Boston. Besides leading his own bands, he has toured extensively through the US and Europe and has played with a number of swing and classic r&b bands, notably Toni Lynn Washington, Eddie Kirkland and Johnnie Marshall.

Brinna Jones

Vocals, percussion

Brinna started singing professionally in 2002, working with a Boston-based show band followed by backing vocal gigs with many different tribute artists, from Rod Steward to Shania Twain. In 2005, her love for singing Big Band and Jazz became a dream realized when she opened for Bob Newhart, backed by a 10-piece orchestra. In 2006, Brinna joined the Northeast-renowned group Souled Out, singing background vocals, and opening for The Drifters, The Pointer Sisters, and The Temptations. Brinna has written some songs for ETTB, notably the cool, Latin-flavored "September Blue".

Ralph DeLucia

Guitar, vocals

Guitar, vocals. Ralph’s exciting guitar playing, showmanship, and powerful singing is well known to New England audiences through his work with several New England bands, notably The Dogs, Little Anthony, Thin Ice, Christine Ohlman, and Colin Hay, He has shared the stage with Paul Carrack and Bernard Purdie. He's a fan favorite.


Eric Kuhn

Bass guitar, vocals

Eric Kuhn – Bass guitar, vocals. The newest member of ETTB, Eric has been a bassist, vocalist, and composer in Connecticut since the late 70s. In 1988 he formed The Bus, beloved Middletown, (CT) rock trio, with Michael Cleary and Paul Bozzi. Eric is known for a voice that can range from do-wop bass to swing soprano in the vocal trio.
